My Dream Came True… Sort Of 😂
Growing up, I always wanted a dog. My mum used to tell me I could have one when I moved out. 😂
I always dreamed of having a Labrador. A proper beautiful one. You know, like the Andrex puppy. 😂
Then Luna Came Along
When my kids were little, I never got a dog. Life was busy enough. Then Luna came along. And this month, she turned three.
I genuinely can’t imagine life without her now. People told me I wouldn’t last six months with her.
Well…
Here we are, three years later. 😂
Although I’m not entirely sure who has changed who.
Life with Luna
Luna has completely changed my life. She’s grounded me. She’s made me slow down. She’s made me spend a lot more time at home.
I can’t go out as much because apparently you can’t just get a babysitter for a dog. 😂
And she gets up early for her walk, which means my days start a lot earlier than they used to.
My cousin Daniella says Luna has ruined her life because we can’t play out as much as we used to. 😂
She secretly loves her really.
I think.
And Then There’s the Energy…
Luna has a LOT of it.
She actually got barred from doggy daycare for having too much energy.
She used to show me up at puppy classes.
She gets ridiculously excited when anyone comes to the house.
She jumps up. She’s chaotic. She’s loud. She’s incredibly loving. And she’s completely bonkers.
Basically, they say dogs are like their owners. I’m starting to see why. 😂
People tell me Labradors start to settle down around three.
So…
Let’s see what happens! 🙏🏻😂
My Dream Come True
Underneath all the chaos, Luna really is my dream come true.
My beautiful silver Labrador. 💜
I waited years for a dog.
And when she finally came along, she brought so much more into my life than I expected.
She’s made me laugh. She’s made me slow down. She’s got me out walking.
And she’s reminded me that sometimes the things that change our lives aren’t the things we carefully plan.
Sometimes they arrive with four paws, a very loud bark and far too much energy. 😂
Happy 3rd birthday, Luna. 🐾💜
Thank you for changing my life in ways I never expected.
Do you have a pet who completely changed your life?
I’d love to hear about them. 💜
